This is the single EasyCore Privacy Policy for our applications and services that link to it, including Wallactive, Widget Studio and My Desktop Pet. It explains shared account, support, infrastructure and purchase practices, followed by specific disclosures for each application. Data listed for one product is not automatically collected by another. New products and changes to data use will be described here before the changed processing begins; we provide additional notices and obtain consent when required.
| Application | Purpose | Provider data and storage |
|---|---|---|
| Wallactive | Windows wallpapers, builder and community catalog | Optional Google identity: verified email and name used for a server account. Uploaded wallpapers, activity and diagnostics are described in Section 18. |
| Widget Studio | Custom desktop widgets, widget builder and community catalog | Same practices as Wallactive: optional sign-in for a server account, published widgets, activity and diagnostics, as explained in Section 20. |
| My Desktop Pet | Animated desktop pets and reminders | No EasyCore account. Optional read-only calendar integration uses local events and encrypted local credentials; Google is currently disabled as explained in Section 19. |
EasyCore ("EasyCore," "we," "us") develops, publishes, and operates software applications and related online services (collectively, the "Services"). This Policy applies to a Service that links to or incorporates it.
For privacy questions and data requests, contact support@easycore.me. Our public web domain is easycore.me.
Some EasyCore products may allow sign-in through Google or Microsoft. EasyCore does not receive or store your provider password. We may receive an identity token and information made available by the provider, such as your email address and display name.
Depending on the product, we may process application version, operating-system version, language or locale, device or installation identifiers, IP address, request metadata, timestamps, error information, and security or abuse-prevention signals.
Some Windows applications may use a publisher-scoped installation identifier provided by Windows, such as an identifier obtained through SystemIdentification.GetSystemIdForPublisher. Where used, it is intended to distinguish installations for service operation or aggregate statistics and is not treated by EasyCore as a hardware serial number, MAC address, or advertising identifier.
Products that include automatic diagnostics may send technical crash or error reports to EasyCore. A report can include an exception type and message, stack trace, application version, operating-system version, device or installation identifier, account identifier where applicable, and technical context necessary to diagnose a failure.
Technical traces can contain incidental information, such as a local file path generated by the operating system. We do not intentionally request unrelated personal files or document contents merely for crash reporting.
When an application communicates with EasyCore services, we may process information necessary to authenticate a session, answer a request, prevent abuse, maintain availability, measure aggregate usage, or provide requested functionality. Examples include catalog requests, downloads, synchronization events, feature usage, request timestamps, and service-status checks.
EasyCore websites and online services may use cookies, local storage, session identifiers, and similar technologies where necessary to provide functionality, maintain sessions, remember preferences, improve security, or understand aggregate service usage.
Where non-essential analytics or similar technologies are used, EasyCore will provide any notice or consent mechanism required by applicable law. Third-party services may use their own cookies or similar technologies under their own policies.
A particular product may request access to device capabilities such as files, camera, microphone, screen capture, location, or other hardware when required for a feature. The relevant product should explain the purpose of the permission where required. EasyCore does not intentionally collect or transmit hardware-derived content unless the applicable functionality requires it and the user is informed.
| Category | Typical purposes |
|---|---|
| Account information | Create and secure accounts, authenticate users, maintain sessions, provide account features, and communicate about the Service. |
| Content you submit | Provide requested functionality, store and synchronize content, and, where you choose to publish it, display or distribute it. |
| Device and technical information | Operate the Service, maintain compatibility, prevent abuse, enforce security controls, and measure aggregate usage. |
| Crash and diagnostic data | Identify, reproduce, investigate, and fix software defects and reliability problems. |
| Support information | Respond to questions, investigate incidents, and provide support. |
| Purchase and subscription information | Verify purchases, provide purchased features, maintain entitlements, identify subscription status, handle support requests, and comply with accounting or legal requirements. |
We may also use information to comply with legal obligations, establish or defend legal claims, enforce our Terms of Service, protect EasyCore and users, prevent fraud or abuse, and maintain security.
We do not use personal information to create advertising profiles for sale to third parties.
EasyCore may sell applications, features, subscriptions, or other digital products through the Microsoft Store. Microsoft may process payment information and transaction details under Microsoft's terms and privacy practices.
EasyCore may receive information necessary to provide the purchased product or subscription, such as a Microsoft account or product identifier, transaction or order identifier, product/license identifier, subscription status, purchase or renewal information, expiration information, region, or other entitlement information made available by Microsoft.
EasyCore does not intentionally receive or store your full payment-card number through the Microsoft Store transaction.
We use purchase and subscription information to verify entitlements, activate or maintain paid functionality, prevent fraud and unauthorized use, provide customer support, and comply with legal or accounting requirements.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal information on one or more of these legal bases:
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent where applicable. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
Public content may include the content itself and associated information such as display name, profile image, title, description, publication date, or download statistics. The exact information displayed depends on the product.
We may remove, unlist, restrict, or delete published content when reasonably necessary to operate the Service, address abuse or security issues, comply with law, or enforce applicable terms. Removal cannot guarantee removal of copies that other people previously downloaded, cached, archived, or re-published.
EasyCore products may integrate with or link to third-party services, including Google, Microsoft, Microsoft Store, identity providers, application stores, hosting and infrastructure providers, payment platforms, content-delivery services, and external websites.
Those third parties may process information under their own privacy policies and terms. Some EasyCore applications may display or execute content created by third parties. EasyCore does not control the privacy practices of third-party content or external websites merely because an EasyCore application makes them available.
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information in these circumstances:
If applicable law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (CCPA), applies to you, you may have rights to know about personal information collected and used, request deletion, request correction, opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information, and receive equal treatment for exercising applicable rights.
EasyCore does not sell personal information and does not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If our practices change, this Policy will be updated and any legally required opt-out mechanism will be provided.
In the preceding 12 months, EasyCore may have disclosed the following categories of personal information for business purposes, depending on the product: identifiers and contact information; account information; internet or network activity; device and technical information; user-generated content; support communications; and purchase or subscription information. Categories of recipients may include service providers, processors, identity providers, Microsoft Store, and other platforms needed to operate the Service. We do not sell these categories of information.
California consumers may submit applicable privacy requests by contacting support@easycore.me. We may verify requests as permitted or required by law.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Depending on the product, these measures may include encrypted connections, access controls, password hashing, authentication tokens, least-privilege access, and separation of customer data.
Passwords, where used, are not stored in readable form.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the relevant Service, maintain an account or subscription, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, and comply with security, legal, accounting, dispute-resolution, and other applicable requirements. Retention periods may differ between products and categories of information.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export or obtain a copy of certain information, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where applicable, and lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection authority.
To submit a privacy request, contact support@easycore.me. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request and will respond within the period required by applicable law.
Uninstalling an EasyCore application does not necessarily delete server-side account, content, purchase, subscription, or support information. If you want server-side data deleted, contact us.
If EasyCore sends promotional communications where permitted by law, you may unsubscribe using the unsubscribe mechanism in the communication or by contacting support@easycore.me. Transactional, security, legal, and service-related messages may still be sent when necessary.
Unless an individual product expressly states otherwise, EasyCore Services are not directed at children under 13, or the higher minimum age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact support@easycore.me.
EasyCore may operate and use service providers in countries other than the country where you live. Your information may therefore be transferred to and processed in other jurisdictions whose data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
Where required by applicable data-protection law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms.
We may update this Policy when our applications, services, data practices, payment arrangements, or legal requirements change. The current version will be published through an EasyCore website or application that links to it, together with its effective or last-updated date.
If a change materially affects how we process personal information, we may provide additional notice where required by law.
For privacy questions, rights requests, account or subscription data deletion requests, security or privacy concerns, contact:

When contacting us about an account or privacy request, provide enough information to identify the relevant account or product, but do not send passwords, authentication codes, payment-card numbers, or unnecessary sensitive information.
This section applies whenever an EasyCore application accesses information through Google APIs. Sections 18, 19 and 20 identify the actual data and permissions used by Wallactive, My Desktop Pet and Widget Studio. These specific rules take precedence over broader statements elsewhere in this Policy concerning marketing, business transfers or third-party sharing.
Google connections are optional and begin with your authorization. We request only permissions needed for the features described for the relevant application. Google user data is used only to provide or improve the disclosed user-facing functionality, such as account sign-in or local calendar reminders. An application's Google connection does not authorize other EasyCore applications to access your Google data.
We do not sell Google user data, transfer it to data brokers or information resellers, or use it for advertising, retargeting, credit assessment or lending. We do not use Google user data or Google Workspace APIs to develop, improve or train generalized or non-personalized AI or ML models. Google APIs are not used to create, facilitate or distribute AI-generated non-consensual intimate imagery (AI NCII); such content is prohibited in EasyCore services.
Transfers of Google user data are limited to providing or improving the disclosed functionality with the user's consent, necessary security investigations, applicable legal obligations, or a business transfer with explicit prior user consent where required by Google's policy. Humans may access Google data only with your affirmative agreement to view specific information, when necessary for security or legal compliance, or as aggregated information for internal operations as permitted by Google. For example, support may review information you deliberately send for troubleshooting; local calendar data is not routinely available to EasyCore staff.
Google authorization and API requests use HTTPS. Protection at rest differs by application: My Desktop Pet encrypts Google credentials locally with Windows current-user data protection; Wallactive validates the Google identity token and retains its own protected local session, while email and display name are stored in the server account with restricted administrative access. We do not claim that every server database, backup, local setting or diagnostic file is encrypted.
Product-specific sections explain what remains in memory, on your device or on our servers, and how long it remains. You may revoke a Google connection at Google Account third-party connections. Revocation prevents further authorized access but does not erase local caches or existing EasyCore server records automatically. Use the application's deletion controls or the instructions below, or contact support@easycore.me with the product name and data request. Do not send passwords, access tokens or unnecessary sensitive information.
EasyCore's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements where applicable. If an application adds Google permissions or changes data use, we update this Policy and provide notice and obtain any required authorization before accessing or using the data in the new way.
Wallactive personalizes your Windows desktop with animated, interactive, web and video wallpapers. It includes a community catalog, a wallpaper builder with visual effects and sound, playlists and monitor settings. This policy describes this application's data practices separately from those of other EasyCore applications.
Publisher and service operator: EasyCore. Contact: support@easycore.me. Application homepage · Microsoft Store listing.
Google sign-in is optional; Wallactive also supports Microsoft sign-in and email/password accounts. Google sign-in requests only openid email profile. The application receives a Google identity token and sends it to the Wallactive server, which verifies its signature, issuer, audience and expiry, checks the verified-email claim, and uses your email address and name to create or sign in to your Wallactive account. A matching verified email can sign in to an existing account. We do not receive your Google or Microsoft password.
We use Google identity data to authenticate you and provide account and community features, including a display name for published wallpapers. Your email is not shown as a separate public account field. Your initial display name may be based on your provider name; you can change it in your account. We do not request access to Gmail messages, Drive files, Photos or Calendar events.
Google's identity token is processed for verification, not stored as a Google credential in the account database. The application retains its own Wallactive session and account information locally, protected with Windows data protection for the current Windows user. The server stores your account email and display name. Microsoft sign-in uses a similar verified-identity process.
The identity token may contain an account subject identifier, email and verification status, name, profile claims and token-validation metadata. Wallactive's server reads the verified email and name for its account and validates issuer, audience, signature and expiry. It does not import a Google profile photo or persist the Google subject identifier as a separate account field. Google access and refresh tokens are not used to access Workspace data by this sign-in implementation.
Your Google-derived email and display name are stored with your Wallactive account on our server, processed by our hosting and database providers, and accessible to authorized administrators for account operation, support and security. A display name and selected avatar can be public when you publish a wallpaper; your email is not a separate public field. We do not disclose Google identity data to advertisers, data brokers, lenders or AI-training providers. Any required legal or security disclosure is limited to its applicable purpose.
The Google identity token is used during sign-in verification; the resulting Wallactive session is separate from Google's token. Server-side email and display name remain while needed for your account or until an applicable deletion request is completed, subject to necessary legal or security retention. Sign-out clears the application's account session but does not delete server records. Request deletion or export by emailing support@easycore.me and identifying your Wallactive account. Revoking Google permission stops future authorized Google sign-in access but does not delete the Wallactive account or invalidate an already-issued Wallactive session by itself.
Wallactive does not access Google Workspace APIs and does not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized or non-personalized AI or ML models. Google's sign-in endpoints use HTTPS; local Wallactive credentials are protected with Windows data protection, and account administration is access-controlled. We do not claim that Google identity data is encrypted at rest in every server database or backup.
We use information to operate accounts and the catalog, distribute wallpapers, maintain premium status, moderate content, handle reports, measure downloads and device usage, prioritize localization, diagnose crashes, provide support, and protect the service. We do not sell personal information or use Google user data for advertising, AI model training or image generation.
Authorized service administrators may access information for these purposes. Hosting, database and file-storage providers process information needed to operate the service. Google and Microsoft process their own sign-in interactions under their privacy policies; Microsoft also operates the Store. Information may be disclosed where required by law or necessary to investigate abuse and protect rights or safety.
When you publish wallpapers, approved content and associated public information, such as your display name, avatar, descriptions and statistics, can be available to other users. Moderators can review submitted content. Downloaded copies may remain with other users after removal. Web wallpapers and external links can contact third-party services under those services' own policies.
Account records and online activity are stored on service infrastructure; uploaded packages and images are stored in the configured file-storage service. Access to administrative functions is restricted, provider identity tokens are validated, and passwords are hashed. Local Wallactive account storage uses Windows data protection. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.
We retain account data while needed to provide your account and retain content, diagnostics, activity and support records while needed for their stated purposes, security, disputes and applicable legal obligations. The current service does not apply one automatic deletion deadline to all records. Download and crash history do not automatically disappear when an account is removed; include these records in a deletion request if you want us to assess their deletion or de-identification.
You can change your display name and avatar, sign out, remove local wallpapers and settings, and report inappropriate content. Signing out or uninstalling does not delete server-side records or copies of wallpapers downloaded by others. You can revoke Google's authorization through Google Account third-party connections; revocation does not itself delete your Wallactive account.
For account deletion, access, correction, export or deletion of personal data, email support@easycore.me and identify the product as Wallactive. Specify whether your request includes published wallpapers, diagnostics and activity history. We may verify your identity; do not send passwords or tokens. We assess requests and any required retention under applicable law.
Where applicable, including in the EEA or UK, processing relies on providing the service you request, legitimate interests in operation and security, consent where required, or legal obligations. Your rights may include access, correction, erasure, portability, objection, restriction, withdrawal of consent and complaints to a data-protection authority. Service providers may process data outside your country; legally required transfer safeguards apply.
Wallactive's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements where applicable. Google APIs are used for identity verification, not for generating images or creating, facilitating or distributing AI-generated non-consensual intimate imagery (AI NCII). Such content is prohibited in the community catalog. Report it in the application or at support@easycore.me.
Wallactive's account and online services are not directed at children under 13 or a higher minimum age required by applicable law. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal data improperly. We publish policy changes here with an updated date and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required before new uses of Google user data.
My Desktop Pet (also shown as MyDesktopPet) is EasyCore's Windows desktop companion with animated pets and break, sleep and meeting reminders. Its homepage is easycore.me/MyDesktopPet/. It does not require an EasyCore account. Optional Google and Microsoft connections provide calendar reminders, not an EasyCore account.
Current Google availability: Google Calendar initialization and its controls are temporarily disabled in the current source version. That version does not initiate new Google connections or background Google calendar synchronization. The following disclosures describe the implemented integration for versions where it is enabled and any credentials retained from earlier versions.
When enabled and authorized, the Google integration requests https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events.readonly and https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.calendarlist.readonly. It reads non-hidden calendars for which your account is the owner and events in a two-day range covering today and tomorrow. Calendar list fields are calendar ID, primary flag and access role. Event fields are ID, iCalendar UID, title, status, start and end, and the current user's attendee flag and response status. The primary calendar identifier is retained locally as connected-account metadata.
The integration does not request event descriptions, locations, attachments, other attendees' email addresses, Gmail, Drive or Photos data. It makes read-only calendar requests: it does not create, edit or delete events or send invitations. It uses event titles and times for meeting notifications and daily all-day-event summaries, and identifiers to avoid duplicate reminders. Notifications appear on your desktop and may be visible to someone looking at your screen.
Google authorization is completed through the system browser and a local redirect using an installed-app authorization flow with PKCE. Access and refresh tokens and connected-account metadata are stored in the application's local google-calendar directory, scoped to the OAuth client and encrypted with Windows current-user data protection. Provider passwords are not received by EasyCore.
Calendar requests go directly from your computer to Google over HTTPS. The calendar adapter keeps loaded event information in application memory rather than saving a full event snapshot to disk. EasyCore does not receive the calendar snapshots or Google tokens on its servers and does not share them with advertisers, AI services or other external recipients. Google processes its own API interactions under its policies. Microsoft calendar connections likewise support calendar reminders and remain subject to Microsoft's policies.
calendar-memory.json stores up to the 200 latest delivered meeting identifiers with occurrence start times and the most recent daily-summary date. Disconnecting does not delete this history. It remains until replaced or the file is removed. To stop future calendar reading when the integration is enabled, turn off calendar reminders or disconnect. To revoke Google's permission, use Google Account third-party connections. Disconnecting does not delete events in Google or sign you out of your browser.
To remove retained Google data when the connection controls are hidden or disabled, close My Desktop Pet and remove the google-calendar folder from its local data directory; remove calendar-memory.json if you also want to erase reminder history. Depending on the installation, local files are held in Windows app local storage or %LOCALAPPDATA%\MyDesktopPet. Uninstalling does not necessarily erase every local file. Contact support for help locating the directory; EasyCore cannot remotely delete data that exists only on your computer.
To position pets and react to your activity, the application reads window positions, visibility and titles, cursor movements and clicks, and idle time locally. These are desktop-interaction signals, not a screen-recording or keylogging feature. Local preferences include pet names and library, reminder settings and delivery history. The My Desktop Pet homepage stores the selected language as a browser preference; its supplied code does not read your calendar or include embedded advertising or analytics. Website infrastructure may process request metadata as described above.
Widget Studio (Widget Studio — Create Custom Widgets) is EasyCore's Windows application for creating custom widgets in a visual editor, placing them on the desktop, using animations, dynamic data and automation, and publishing widgets to an online community catalog. Publisher and service operator: EasyCore. Contact: support@easycore.me. Application homepage · Microsoft Store listing.
Widget Studio provides functionality similar to Wallactive and follows the same data practices. The disclosures in Section 18 apply to Widget Studio in the same way, with "Wallactive" read as "Widget Studio" and "wallpapers" read as "widgets", including optional Google and Microsoft sign-in and email/password accounts, account information, device and registration context, community activity (uploaded widget packages and previews, titles, descriptions, tags, likes, downloads and reports), crash diagnostics, support requests, local preferences and content, purposes and sharing, storage, retention and security, your choices, deletion and rights, Google data commitments, and children's privacy.
Widget Studio and Wallactive are separate applications with separate accounts and services. Signing in to one does not sign you in to the other or give one application access to the other's data. Widgets you install and create, settings and local files remain on your computer unless you upload them or use an online feature. To request access, correction, export or deletion, email support@easycore.me and identify the product as Widget Studio.
